Welcome
The research shows that our ability to live a purposeful and joyful life is directly correlated with the health of our relationships: how seen, understood and cared about we feel, and how able we are to see, understand and care for others.
Often, distress is the result of something that’s happening in the present, and some therapeutic verbal processing and tools is all that’s needed. Other times, our inability to move forward in our goals, is the result of unprocessed situations from the past, and requires a trauma-informed approach to health and wellness.
Signs that something in the past may be unresolved:
negative self-image
codependent behaviors and worthiness issues
becoming easily anxious and overwhelmed
irritable and/or shuts down easily
crying for no apparent reason, or feeling numb
hard conversations with others get internalized and leads to shame
all or nothing thinking - difficulty seeing the nuance
has a hard time negotiating other’s needs with their own
problems with addiction and/or compulsive behaviors
